The Reeve Union Board hosted the Acoustic Pottery Night event Thursday night in Titan Underground. Two acoustic groups, Kyle Larscheid and Ladders, performed during the event. Students picked between different pottery pieces, including bowls, mugs and plates. After choosing the pottery, different colors of paint were available for students to pick and paint their pieces with. Jessica Fedie, a member of RUB, said the performers were chosen through a vote. “I gathered a list of acoustic artists from the area and had my committee vote for the two that they thought would fit best with the event,” Fedie said. Morgan Schoen, a senior at UW Oshkosh, said the music “really helped set a relaxing atmosphere,” and was her favorite part of the event. UW Oshkosh students Clara Hewins, Kyla Brown and Sarah Stassi attended the event together. The three students agreed the event was “very fun” and “creative.” “It was a real stress reliever after midterms week,” Brown said. Stassi said she enjoyed the different components of the event as a whole. “The atmosphere of the underground, the music and the craft; it all tied together really well,” Stassi said.
