As a result of an intensive drug investigation, members of the Oshkosh Police Department say that they conducted a search warrant at a residence located in the 500 Block of Amherst Avenue in Oshkosh Oct. 22.
The operation, which was a collaborative effort between OPD’s Vice and Narcotics Unit and Criminal Investigation Division, resulted in a handgun, 3 grams of cocaine and 133.9 grams of marijuana being seized by officers.
On scene, OPD says that four individuals ranging from 16-38 years old were arrested, including a 20-year-old and a 38-year-old being arrested on outstanding warrants through probation and parole.
OPD Public Affairs Officer Kate Mann said in a press release that the department continues to diligently investigate crimes of this nature around the city.
“We will not tolerate the distribution, sale or possession of illegal narcotics within our city,” Mann said. “We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and will continue taking decisive and swift action against conduct that threatens public safety.”
