The Oshkosh Police Department and Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Martin Muniz-Lara and two others last Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery at the Premier Community Bank Oct. 17 in Bear Creek.
“The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our appreciation to the Oshkosh Police Department, Lake Winnebago Area MEG – Drug Unit, Fox Crossing Police Department, Grand Chute Police Department and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this investigation,” Nathan Borman, captain of operations at the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department, said.
According to law enforcement, Muniz-Lara was located on the 2300 block of Jackson St. in Oshkosh after an extensive investigation and was taken into custody without incident.
After his arrest, OPD’s SWAT Team and Criminal Investigation Division conducted two search warrants in the city. A 38-year-old man from Oshkosh was arrested in the 200 block of East Fernau Ave. and was taken to the Winnebago County Jail for possession with intent to deliver cocaine (15 – 40 grams), possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old female from Oshkosh was also arrested on the 400 block of West South Park Ave. and was taken to the Winnebago County Jail for possession of cocaine.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on the 1600 block of North Road in Greenville, but no one was taken into custody.
According to law enforcement, the armed robbery investigation is still ongoing and Muniz-Lara is currently being held in the Outagamie County Jail.
