The Oshkosh Police Department arrested a 41-year-old man after he stabbed a 35-year-old on the 400 block of S. Koeller St. on Feb. 28.
At 6:40 a.m., OPD was dispatched to a weapons call where officers were advised that a man had been stabbed. Law enforcement provided medical treatment to the victim at the scene until the Oshkosh Fire Department transported him to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
OPD, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the Neenah Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol located a suspect and his vehicle on the north side of the city.
After a brief pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Winnebago County Jail for Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and Domestic Disorderly Conduct, with other charges currently pending.
According to OPD, the two men knew each other prior to the incident and there is no further risk to the public.
