When entering Sonder, you are greeted by minimalistic decorations with floral themes while a mixture of indie and pop music fills the space. The environment was very clean and modern, and is a great place to stop for a bite or a quick coffee, but doesn’t have a ton of comfortable options for people to stay long-term. 

I ordered a hot chai with oat milk and was a little disappointed by it. For starters, the milk was extremely foamy, more like a cappuccino than a latte and because of that there was no latte art which was a little disappointing. 

Once I took my first sip, I was bombarded with an extreme spice like flavor. I tried a couple more sips but couldn’t finish it due to how strong it was. I would rank it a two out of 10. 

With my chai, I ordered a gigantic chocolate chip muffin. After I took a couple bites, I felt that was enough for me, and was left unable to finish the muffin. The muffin gets a seven out of 10 from me.

I also had the pleasure of sampling Sonder’s Breakfast panini with Canadian bacon. Something that made this sandwich stand out was the garlic aioli sauce. 

I had an incredibly satisfying cheese pull that complimented the egg exquisitely. This sandwich is a strong eight out of 10 and is something I would highly recommend trying.

Ultimately, for a new coffee shop in downtown Oshkosh, Sonder has wonderful potential for being a recurring place for many college students to grab food and coffee to recharge.
