The UW Oshkosh men’s wrestling team fell to WIAC rival UW-Whitewater 55-0 on Saturday at home at the Kolf Sports Center. The Warhawks won all ten matches, winning one by forfeit, five by fall, three by technical fall and one by major decision.
UWO’s Logan Harel lost his match by major decision 15-4 against Whitewater’s Cale Stonitsch in the 141-lb match. Oshkosh’s Ryan Bergman made it to the third period against Whitewater’s Brayden Peet before losing by technical fall 22-6 in the 165-lb. match. The Titans’ Kyle Rasper and JP Culver also lost by technical fall, each losing 17-1. Rasper made it to the second period in the 174-lb. match, while Culver was defeated in the first period of the 125-lb. match.
UWO’s Leonardo Ruggiero lost by fall in the 149-lb. match, Jacob Hibbard in the 157-lb. match, Elijah Matzke in the 184-lb. match, Vincent Bird in the 197-lb. match and Camden Harms in the 285-lb. match.
The Titans moved to 0-6 on the year and 0-4 in the WIAC. The Titans return next Thursday against UW-Platteville at home at 6 p.m.
