The UW Oshkosh flag football team now knows who they’ll be facing in 2026, as the first-ever varsity schedule for the Titans has officially been released.
The 11 game schedule features seven teams from both Wisconsin and the Midwest, with all but two programs getting their start this spring. Three games will be at home on the UWO campus.
The Titans will kick off the newest chapter in UWO athletics history as the 21st varsity sport on Feb. 25, when they host Aurora University (Illinois) at the Rec Plex Dome at noon. This will be the first game in program history for both teams under first year head coaches Deante Jefferson (UWO) and Lane Barlow (Aurora). Both teams will match up once more on April 24 on the Spartans’ campus.
From there, UWO heads on the road for two games at Smith Field in Fond Du Lac. The first game features a neutral clash with the Titans of Illinois Wesleyan University, while the second face-off will be with host Marian University. Both games will be played on March 22, with kick-off set for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectfully. The Sabres and Titans will play once more in Fond Du Lac on April 9 at 7:30 p.m.
UWO will host Rockford University (Illinois) on April 4 at 4 p.m. (site to be determined at a later date) before squaring off five days later in Fond Du Lac at 6:15 p.m. In their first year, the Regents, under head coach Tim Trevier, went 5-11 overall, completing 63 of their 89 passing attempts, with nine touchdowns and three interceptions based off of three completed box scores. On defense, Rockford allowed 380 total points to their own 198.
The final home game for UWO in the 2026 season will be at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on April 12 at 4 p.m., when the Titans square off with Bryant and Stratton College. The Bobcats have the most experience on the field as a varsity program, as they are entering their fifth season in 2026. During the 2025 campaign, the Bobcats went 8-4 overall, and made their way to the national invitational semifinal for the first time in program history, before losing to Daytona State College (Florida) 21-0. During their season, Bryant and Stratton College outscored their opponents 222-191 and completed 202 passes for 1,894 yards and 29 touchdowns. Defensively, they totaled 241 tackles, with 19 of them being for a loss of 33 yards. Bryant & Stratton also recorded 15 interceptions, while the offense had 90 rushing attempts for 294 yards. The Bobcats and Titans will meet again six days later, on April 18 at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.
UWO will conclude its season on the road as the Titans will be traveling to Hammond, Indiana, for a pair of matchups against first-year programs on May 2. The first game at 11 a.m. will have the Titans up against Wittenberg University (Ohio). The season finale showcases UWO against host Purdue University-Northwest (Indiana) at 2 p.m.
The 2026 schedule for the Titans covers multiple athletic conferences and collegiate levels of competition. In NCAA Division III, while UWO is affiliated with the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), Aurora, Rockford, and Marion align themselves with the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). In addition, the Sabres also have a connection with The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), which is the main athletic conference of Illinois Wesleyan. Wittenberg is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). Purdue-Northwest represents NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and Bryant & Stratton represents region four of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
With tryouts being completed for UWO Flag Football, the revealing of this schedule is getting the Titans one step closer to a new era of the gold standard.
Note: The Advance-Titan would like to thank Bryant & Stratton College’s Sports Information Director Isaiah Butler for helping to provide stats from the Bobcats’ 2024-25 season.
