The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating the disappearance of 59-year-old Frederick Ellis after family members contacted law enforcement on Jan. 10 to assist in locating him.
According to an OPD press release, the family have not heard from Ellis since October of 2025 and are concerned for his safety due to mental health concerns. Law enforcement said that officers have followed up on several possible leads, but have been unable to fund Ellis, who is homeless and does not have a current address.
Ellis was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes, and is described as an African American male, 5’10” and approximately 160 lbs.
