The Oshkosh Police Department arrested a 29-year-old male for disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property and battery after a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of Nicolet Avenue Nov. 21.
According to a press release, OPD responded to a weapons complaint at 11:20 a.m. where a female had allegedly stabbed a male in a physical disturbance. Police arrived at the scene to find that the male was no longer at the residence after he was taken to a local hospital due to the injuries he sustained from the stabbing.
Oshkosh police said that the male had entered the female’s residence without her consent, later physically assaulting her and preventing her from leaving. According to OPD, the male and female knew each other before the disturbance, and this is an isolated incident.
Oshkosh police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public at this time. Investigators want to remind the public that if their tip leads to an arrest, they may be eligible for a cash reward.
